Covermatch operates an insurance price-comparison platform.
Covermatch provides insurance policy price-comparison services only.
Covermatch is not an insurance company, insurance underwriter, insurance broker, insurance agent or insurance consultant.
Covermatch does not itself:
Covermatch's insurance-related activities are limited to those permitted for an insurance price-comparison website under applicable UAE laws and Central Bank of the UAE ("CBUAE") requirements.
Covermatch operates technology infrastructure intended to facilitate insurance price comparison and related permitted digital functionality.
Depending upon the service, the Website may provide:
Providing technological functionality does not expand Covermatch's regulatory role beyond activities legally permitted to it.
Where an activity is legally required to be undertaken by a licensed insurance broker, insurer or another authorised person, the availability of that functionality through the Covermatch customer journey does not make Covermatch the regulated person responsible for that activity.
Insurance brokerage services associated with insurance enquiries originating through the Covermatch platform are principally provided through Northstar Insurance Brokers LLC, a separately licensed insurance broker regulated by the CBUAE.
Another appropriately licensed insurance broker may become involved in a particular transaction where permitted or required because of:
Where required by applicable law or regulation, the identity and role of the relevant licensed insurance broker will be disclosed to the customer.
Where an arrangement constitutes an assignment of insurance brokerage operations between insurance brokers, any consent required under applicable CBUAE requirements must be obtained.
Covermatch, the licensed insurance broker and the insurance company perform different roles.
Covermatch
Covermatch provides insurance price-comparison services and technology functionality within its permitted regulatory scope.
Licensed Insurance Broker
The licensed insurance broker performs regulated insurance brokerage activities within the scope of its licence and applicable regulatory requirements.
Insurance Company
The insurance company underwrites the insurance risk and is responsible for the insurance policy issued under its authority.
The involvement of a broker in obtaining, arranging, facilitating, processing or servicing insurance does not make the broker the insurer.
A licensed insurance broker involved in a transaction does not, merely by arranging or facilitating insurance:
The insurer identified in the insurance policy is responsible for the insurance risk in accordance with the policy and applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts any legal or regulatory obligation independently imposed upon a licensed insurance broker.
Insurance coverage is determined by the applicable insurance policy issued or authorised by the insurer.
Coverage may be subject to:
Neither Covermatch nor a licensed broker independently creates or extends coverage beyond the insurance provided under the applicable policy.
A quotation summary, comparison, Website description, email, telephone conversation, WhatsApp message or other general communication does not itself amend an insurance policy unless the change is formally incorporated or confirmed by or under the authority of the insurer.
Customers should carefully review the final insurance documentation.
Depending upon the product, this may include:
If information contained in the final documentation appears inconsistent with the customer's application or requirements, the customer should promptly contact the responsible licensed broker or insurer.
Covermatch may display comparison information including:
Not every insurer or insurance product available in the UAE will necessarily appear on Covermatch.
Comparisons may be limited to insurance products available through participating licensed insurance brokers and relevant insurer arrangements.
The absence of an insurer or product does not constitute a negative assessment of that insurer or product.
Unless expressly identified as being provided by an appropriately licensed and authorised party, Website information is intended for comparison and general informational purposes.
It should not be treated as personalised:
The ordering or position of products within comparison results does not necessarily constitute a recommendation that a particular product is most suitable for the customer.
Insurance quotations, underwriting and policy terms depend upon information supplied by or on behalf of the customer.
Customers must provide requested information accurately, completely and truthfully to the best of their knowledge.
Customers must not intentionally:
The customer remains responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information and documents provided by or on behalf of the customer.
Information may be material where it could reasonably affect:
Customers should answer all questions fully and accurately rather than deciding themselves that particular information is unimportant.
For health, medical, life, critical illness, travel or other insurance involving health underwriting, customers may be required to disclose health and medical information.
Where requested, this may include:
Information should not be withheld merely because:
Where requested in the application or underwriting process, the information should be disclosed accurately.
The insurer determines whether a disclosed condition affects:
Neither Covermatch nor the licensed broker guarantees coverage of a pre-existing condition unless such coverage is provided under or confirmed by the relevant insurer in accordance with the applicable policy.
Depending upon the insurance product, relevant information may include:
Motor Insurance: previous accidents, claims, vehicle modifications, vehicle use, commercial use, drivers, driving-licence information, vehicle specifications and insurance history.
Health/Medical Insurance: illnesses, chronic conditions, medication, surgery, investigations, hospitalisation, symptoms, pregnancy information where relevant and lawfully requested, previous treatment and medical history.
Travel Insurance: relevant medical conditions, destination, trip duration, planned activities and other circumstances requested for underwriting.
Property/Business Insurance: business activities, occupancy, construction, previous losses, claims, risk exposures, values to be insured and other relevant risk information.
These examples are not exhaustive.
Where required by the policy or applicable law, customers should inform the responsible broker or insurer of material changes occurring after an application or during the insurance period.
Such changes may concern:
Failure to disclose relevant information, or providing false, inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information, may have serious consequences.
Depending upon the circumstances, policy and applicable law, these may include:
Covermatch and the broker do not independently determine whether a non-disclosure legally permits invalidation or rejection of a claim.
Such matters are determined by the insurer and, where disputed, through the applicable legal or regulatory process.
A broker may assist with obtaining, preparing or transmitting an application, but such assistance does not relieve the customer of responsibility for the accuracy of information supplied.
Customers should review applications and declarations before confirming or signing them.
If information recorded in an application is incorrect, the customer should promptly notify the responsible broker.
A broker cannot reasonably be expected to disclose information to an insurer that the customer has knowingly withheld from the broker.
Depending upon the insurance product, information and documents may include:
Information will be handled in accordance with applicable UAE legal and regulatory requirements and the Covermatch Privacy Policy.
Where document-upload functionality is made available, users must submit only genuine documents that they are legally authorised to provide.
Users must not upload:
Covermatch may apply file-type, file-size, security and other technical restrictions.
Successful upload or transmission does not mean that a document has been verified or accepted by the insurer.
Where a user provides information concerning another person, including a spouse, child, dependant, driver, employee, director, beneficiary or other insured person, the user must have appropriate authority or another lawful basis for providing that information where required.
Insurance enquiries may involve personal information and, depending upon the insurance product, sensitive information.
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Covermatch Privacy Policy, applicable UAE data-protection requirements and applicable insurance regulations.
Where necessary and legally permitted, information may be electronically transmitted to the appropriately licensed insurance broker handling the enquiry and to relevant insurers, TPAs, other licensed insurance brokers or authorised insurance-service providers.
Submission of information for an insurance enquiry does not constitute unrestricted permission to use that information for unrelated purposes.
Covermatch is subject to regulatory requirements applicable to insurance price-comparison websites concerning prospective-customer and customer electronic information.
Where applicable CBUAE requirements prohibit Covermatch from maintaining, storing or copying certain prospective-customer or customer information, those requirements apply notwithstanding any general Website functionality or provision of these Terms.
The technical transmission of information through Covermatch infrastructure does not create an unrestricted right for Covermatch to retain that information.
A licensed broker, insurer or another regulated entity may have separate legal obligations concerning processing, confidentiality, security and record retention.
Users should provide only information and documents reasonably required for the relevant insurance purpose.
Users should avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information or documents that have not been requested.
Where identification, health or other sensitive information is required, it should be handled with safeguards appropriate to its nature and applicable regulatory requirements.
The Website may use software rules, algorithms, automated systems and other technologies to:
Technology-generated output does not constitute an insurer's underwriting decision or insurance approval unless appropriately confirmed by the insurer.
Covermatch may implement security and data-quality measures including:
These controls reduce risk but cannot guarantee detection of every malicious, fraudulent or inaccurate submission.
Users must not attempt to circumvent these controls.
The Website may rely upon or interact with third-party technologies for functions such as:
Such services may occasionally be unavailable because of outages, maintenance, connectivity problems or circumstances outside Covermatch's reasonable control.
Use of third-party technology remains subject to applicable legal, regulatory and contractual requirements.
General Website content, articles or advertisements may contain indicative, historical, example or "starting from" premium information where appropriately identified.
Such general information is not necessarily a personalised quotation.
Actual pricing may depend upon:
Premiums and coverage presented as actual comparison or quotation results will be handled in accordance with applicable CBUAE requirements.
Nothing in these Terms permits an actual quotation to be described as merely illustrative in order to avoid an applicable regulatory obligation concerning price or coverage.
Underwriting decisions remain with the relevant insurer.
An insurer may, subject to applicable law:
Covermatch does not control such decisions.
A licensed broker may communicate or assist with insurer requirements without becoming responsible for the insurer's underwriting decision.
The Website may display or refer to names, trademarks, service marks, logos, trade names, branding, information, documents, images or other materials belonging to third parties.
Third parties may include:
All third-party intellectual-property rights remain the property of their respective owners.
Their appearance on the Website may be for identification, comparison, informational or other authorised business purposes.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, their appearance should not be interpreted as establishing an endorsement, partnership, sponsorship or authority beyond the relationship that actually exists.
No Website user acquires a right to use third-party intellectual property merely because it appears on Covermatch.
The Website may provide general information regarding TPAs, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, laboratories and other healthcare providers.
Networks can change.
Provider eligibility may depend upon:
Website network information should therefore not be interpreted as a guarantee that treatment at a particular provider is covered.
Customers should confirm current eligibility with the relevant insurer, TPA or licensed broker before obtaining non-emergency treatment.
Garage, workshop, dealership and repair-network information may change.
Repair eligibility may depend upon:
Customers should obtain confirmation from the appropriate insurer or claims representative before arranging repairs.
Addresses, telephone numbers, websites, locations, opening hours and other directory information are provided for convenience.
Third parties may change such information without notifying Covermatch.
Users should independently verify important or time-sensitive information.
The Website may link to independently operated third-party websites.
Third-party websites may have their own:
Covermatch does not control independently operated third-party websites.
A hyperlink does not, by itself, constitute an endorsement.
Covermatch does not itself underwrite or issue insurance policies.
Insurance policies are issued by or under the authority of the relevant insurer.
A licensed broker or other appropriately authorised party may participate in policy documentation or processing where legally permitted.
The insurer identified in the policy documentation is responsible for the insurance contract.
Covermatch does not receive insurance premiums in its capacity as an insurance price-comparison website.
Premium payments should be made only through the authorised payment arrangement applicable to the relevant insurer and transaction.
Payment information may be separately processed by insurers, banks, card networks, payment gateways or authorised payment-service providers.
Cancellation, termination, amendment and refund rights are governed by:
Covermatch does not independently determine whether a policy can be cancelled or whether a premium refund is payable.
Before Policy Issuance or Commencement
Where insurance has not yet been issued or become effective, cancellation of an insurance request may be possible depending upon the status of the transaction and insurer requirements.
Where payment has already been made to an insurer, any refund is subject to the insurer's applicable procedures.
After Policy Issuance
Once a policy has been issued or cover commenced, the customer may not automatically have a right to cancel simply because they change their mind.
Cancellation may require documentation prescribed by the insurer or applicable regulation.
Motor Insurance
Motor-policy cancellation is subject to the applicable policy and regulatory requirements.
Depending upon the applicable policy, permitted cancellation circumstances may include matters such as:
Refund entitlement may depend upon:
Cancellation does not automatically entitle the customer to a full or pro-rata refund.
Health and Medical Insurance
Health-insurance cancellation and refund rights may depend upon:
Other Insurance
Travel, home, life, business and other insurance products are subject to their respective cancellation and refund provisions.
Where a mandatory cooling-off or free-look right applies, nothing in these Terms restricts that right.
Calculation of Refund
Where a refund is payable, the amount may take account of:
Refund Payment
Where applicable CBUAE requirements require premium refunds to be paid directly by the insurer to the customer, the refund will be handled accordingly.
Covermatch does not receive premium refunds.
A broker may assist with a cancellation or refund request but does not thereby become responsible for:
Processing Time
Any refund timeframe communicated by Covermatch or a broker is an estimate unless expressly confirmed by the responsible insurer.
Processing may depend upon the insurer, bank, payment method and documentation.
Final cancellation and refund entitlement is determined under the applicable policy and UAE law.
Covermatch does not assess, approve, reject or settle insurance claims.
Claims are assessed by the relevant insurer in accordance with:
A broker may assist with claims communication or documentation where this falls within its services, but such assistance does not guarantee that a claim will be accepted or paid.
The broker does not assume the insurer's contractual obligation to fund an insurance claim.
Renewal terms may differ from the expiring insurance policy.
There is no guarantee of renewal:
Renewal remains subject to applicable insurer, broker and regulatory requirements.
The Website may use cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies for purposes including:
Further details should be provided in the Covermatch Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Where consent is required for non-essential technologies, such technologies should be deployed in accordance with applicable consent requirements.
Covermatch may use analytics and performance technologies, where legally permitted, to understand matters such as:
Analytics data must be handled in accordance with applicable privacy and regulatory requirements.
Covermatch may advertise through:
Advertising technologies may, where legally permitted, be used to measure:
Insurance application data, medical information, identification documents and other sensitive information should not intentionally be transmitted to advertising platforms for advertising purposes where doing so would be inconsistent with applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
Advertising remains subject to applicable UAE law, CBUAE requirements and the policies of the relevant advertising platform.
Advertisements may contain abbreviated information because of advertising-format limitations.
Users should review the relevant landing page and applicable insurance documentation for complete information.
Advertisements do not override:
Where a premium shown in an advertisement is an indicative or starting premium rather than an actual personalised quotation, it should be appropriately identified.
Submission of an insurance quotation or comparison request does not automatically constitute unrestricted consent to unrelated promotional marketing.
Where marketing consent is legally required, appropriate consent should be obtained separately.
Where applicable, users may withdraw marketing consent through the provided opt-out mechanism.
Withdrawal from optional marketing does not necessarily prevent communications legitimately required for an active insurance transaction or another permitted non-marketing purpose.
Where legally permitted and appropriate to the respective roles of Covermatch and the licensed broker, electronic communications may use channels such as:
Customers are responsible for providing current contact information.
Regulated insurance communications will be handled in accordance with applicable CBUAE requirements concerning the role of the licensed insurance broker.
Public Website content may be discovered, crawled, indexed, cached or displayed by search engines and other online discovery services.
Public information may therefore appear in search-engine results or cached copies.
Private insurance applications, identification documents, customer information and other non-public information are not intended to become publicly searchable merely because Covermatch operates a public Website.
Covermatch may use access controls, robots directives, meta directives, canonicalisation and other technical mechanisms to manage crawling and indexing.
Except where expressly authorised or permitted by law, users must not systematically:

Normal indexing by legitimate search engines in accordance with Covermatch's publicly communicated crawling instructions is not prohibited by this section.
Covermatch may use metadata, structured data, sitemaps and other technologies intended to assist search engines in understanding Website content.

You are responsible for providing complete, accurate and truthful information when requesting or applying for insurance. Information requested by an insurer or licensed insurance broker should not be withheld because you believe it is unimportant. Failure to disclose relevant information—including pre-existing medical conditions where requested—or providing false, inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information may affect your quotation, premium, coverage, policy validity or a future claim, subject to the applicable insurance policy and UAE law.
Covermatch Technologies FZCO provides insurance price-comparison services only. Covermatch is not an insurance company or insurance broker and does not underwrite insurance or assume insurance risk. Licensed insurance brokers facilitate insurance brokerage services but do not thereby assume the insurer's contractual liability under the insurance policy. Insurance coverage, benefits, exclusions, underwriting decisions and claims are governed by the applicable insurance policy and the relevant insurer, subject to UAE law and applicable regulatory requirements.
Information displayed on Covermatch is intended to facilitate insurance price comparison and provide general information.
